Plinth and Capitals (For Porch Posts)
To ensure long life for your porch post investment, we highly recommend Plinth and Capitals to not only add style, but in the case of a Plinth piece, ensure the bottom end of the post is protected from the elements as it will elevate the post off a moisture holding surface. To create aesthetic balance, a Capital is installed at the top of the post.
All components are primed and ready to install. Each part sold individually.
For a 5 1/4" Porch Post, The Plinth dimensions are 6 1/4" x 1 3/4" and Capital is 6 1/4" x 1 1/2"
For a 7" Porch Posts, The plinth dimentions are 8 1/2" x 1 3/4" and Capital is 8 1/2" x 1 1/2"

Like the turned samples shown above, these square railing support components compliment the shoe rail as a support for extended lengths.
Available in two sizes: All components are 4" tall x 1 3/4" thick.
For a 3 1/2" Shoe rail, support is 4 1/2" at bottom tapering to 3 1/4" at top
For a 4 1/2 Shoe Rail, support is 5" at bottom tapering to 3 3/4" at top
